Workers' Compensation

    Hearing and Litigation Representation

Part of the strategy for success in workers’ compensation matters is aggressive claims representation at BWC hearings.  Once a claim is referred for hearing, our attorneys work with your staff or your third party administrator to prepare the case in front of the Industrial Commission of Ohio.  When litigation is necessary, we work in a cost-effective manner to represent your interests.  We believe that a thorough evaluation of the case is necessary from the start to be sure that the costs of litigation do not outweigh the benefits that may be gained.  We work with you every step of the way to ensure that the litigation is consistent with your overall strategy for managing claim costs. 


         Other Legal Issues Surrounding Workers’ Compensation

Many times, workers' compensation claims present issues involving the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act and wrongful discharge. Our workers’ compensation team works with our employment lawyers to ensure that the full range of legal issues are considered as the claim is defended. Our lawyers are also experienced in defending your company in a wide array of other litigation that can arise out of work related injuries, including OSHA, intentional tort and VSSR claims.
